• companionship & conversation
• create and maintain open communication with seniors, their families, and our staff
• light housekeeping
• household management
• errands
• apparel selection (i.e. Laying out clothes)
• meal planning & preparation
• laundry & linen changing
• medication reminders
• transportation using client’s or your own vehicle
• in sleep-over or live in situations: prepare client sleeping area at night
• document activities in the daily documentation log (if applicable).
• record daily hours worked and daily services performed on the weekly time sheet, review with client and submit the signed form every monday by 1:00 p.m.
• report any significant client changes to the office immediately.
• follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the senior helpers employee handbook and training manual.

• education: high school graduate
• must be 18 years of age or over
• ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
• ability to read, write and speak english at an average adult level
• ability to drive vehicle to get to work
• valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations; current care insurance.
• negative ppd skin test
• ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations and locations
• pass a criminal background check prior to employment with senior helpers.

• ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds
• ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb steps
• ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
• ability to adapt to various environments and locations
• ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
