This opportunity is for a Medical Biller in our
Rochelle Park, NJ
offices.
This is a temporary position expected to last 2-3 months.

The Medical Biller provides administrative support to the Revenue Cycle team.

Essential Functions, Job

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Determine appropriate codes for charges and services incurred to assure maximum reimbursement
  • Review and prepare electronic medical bills for claim submission
  • Print and mail all manual bills ready for submission of both primary and secondary claims including attachments
  • Assist as needed with specialty billing including DME and Pathology
  • When necessary, input charges in Mod Med
  • Review insurance claim denials and prepare claims for resubmission
  • When necessary, log in to payer portals to check status of billed claims
  • Adhere to all HIPAA, confidentiality, and organization policies/rules
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory billing requirements
  • Make changes to demographic information as necessary to produce a clean claim
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards in the completion of daily assignments and accurate production
  • Service accounts in priority of importance, independently billing accounts with understanding of all applicable insurance and CMS regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education & Experience:
  • Medical billing: 2 years (Required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze coding to ensure proper billing of claim
  • Requires accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across a team
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
