Adelphi is seeking a Behavior Aide to provide behavioral services in a school setting located in Bordentown, New Jersey.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, behavior analysis, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral challenges in a school or related setting preferred.
  • Ability to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under direction of BCBA or BCABA.
  • Ability to follow structured behavioral programming and instructional plans.
  • Ability to collect and record behavioral data accurately.
  • Ability to support students receiving services under IEPs, 504 Plans, and/or Intervention & Referral Services (I&RS) Plans.
  • Ability to complete required district documentation.
  • Ability to maintain professional communication with staff and families.
  • Ability to perform the functions of the position.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct behavioral support to students under the supervision of a BCBA or BCABA.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and structured behavioral programming in both classroom and individual settings.
  • Deliver intensive teaching sessions, including verbal behavior instruction and discrete trial teaching, as assigned.
  • Collect and record daily behavioral and instructional data to support progress monitoring.
  • Support classroom routines, behavioral expectations, reinforcement systems, and crisis intervention strategies in accordance with District-approved training.
  • Participate in team and data review meetings, maintain accurate service logs and documentation, and provide additional services within scope of training as required by the District.
