Under the direction of radiologist, performs MRI Procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

• Patient and Room Preparation: enter patient data into Epic and other appropriate computer systems; position the patient correctly on the scan table; obtain appropriate scout image for procedure.
• Obtain cross sectional images: set protocols and sequences to obtain high quality images for diagnosis by the radiologist.
• Direct involvement during procedure: assist at the side of the radiologist during biopsy procedures as needed; monitor progression of the procedure; operate injector when necessary.
• Photographing and processing of images: photograph and label scan images, process and display final images for radiologist interpretation; maintain records of image slices and injections.
• Observe radiation safety rules and regulations for patients and staff.
• Train other associates and students in MRI procedures.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the assigned area.
• Perform duties of a 4T technologist as needed.
• Perform other related assigned tasks.
