We are seeking a Surgery Scheduler to become a part of our team! You will provide surgery scheduling support to the physicians & patients of The Cardiovascular Care Group.
Responsibilities- Schedule patient hospital admissions and surgeries, coordinating operating rooms, schedules of physicians and assistants needed for the procedure.
- Set up PATs for patients.
- Obtain pre-certification/authorization from insurance company.
- Notify patient of hospital/surgery arrangements; notify referring physician of patient’s hospital admission/scheduled surgery.
- Gather & record needed financial and insurance information.
- Distribute pre- and post-operative information to patients.
Minimum three years of experience as a surgery scheduler for a medical office or hospital
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical insurance and billing
- Demonstrated organization skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint)
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus
