Position Summary
Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the mammography technologist prepares for and operates imaging equipment following specific physicians orders. The technologist produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for breast and DEXA exams, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, and ensures exam is archived on the PACS. The technologist maintains facilities in proper order and keeps abreast of all new departmental imaging.
Scheduleand Location
Shift: Monday & Wednesday; every other Friday, 8:00–4:30 (no weekends or holidays).
Job Location:
Montvale Market Square, Day shift (United States of America).
- Education:
Completion from an accredited radiography program. - Registration:
Registered by the ARRT with advanced Mammography Certification. - Licenses:
Valid/current license from the State of NJ DEP. - Certification:
Must obtain advanced Mammography Registry within 1 year of employment. Current CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
- One (1) year practical experience as a registered ARRT radiology technologist preferred.
- Mammography experience preferred.
- Physical dexterity to operate a variety of complex stationary and mobile radiation producing equipment and mechanical accessories.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills.
- Ability to perform accurately and attend to details, changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Capable of functioning competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing patient needs.
- Ability to work cooperatively within the health‑system, and with patients, family members, co‑workers, and multidisciplinary team members (physicians, Patient Care Services staff, etc.).

Pay Range: $43.35 - $54.19 per hour.
