Mammography Tech Montvale Part Time Day

Position Summary

Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the mammography technologist prepares for and operates imaging equipment following specific physicians orders. Produces detailed computer‑generated scans of patients for breast and DEXA exams, verifies patients’ identification prior to scan, selects patient from work list, and ensures exam is archived on the PACS. Maintains facilities in proper order and keeps abreast of all new departmental imaging.

Performs mammographic and DEXA procedures using X‑Rays.

Shift: Tuesday & Thursday, every other Friday. 8:00 – 4:30. No weekends or holidays.

Job Location:

Montvale Market Square, Shift Day (United States of America).

• Completion from an accredited radiography program and registration by the ARRT.
• Advanced Mammography Certification and a valid/current license from the State of NJ DEP.
• Advanced Mammography Registry within 1 year of employment.
• Current CPR Certification thru the American Heart Association.

One (1) year practical experience as a registered (ARRT) radiology technologist preferred; mammography experience preferred.

• Physical dexterity to operate a variety of complex stationary and mobile radiation‑producing equipment and mechanical accessories.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to hold efficiency while shifting tasks.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively within the health‑system and with patients, family members, co‑workers, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Effective time management to set priorities, perform job‑related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.

Pay Range: $43.35 – $54.19 per hour.
