Acenda s expert team helps each individual, family and community move forward in their journey towards health and happiness.

Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services is a 24/7 crisis intervention service that offers face-to-face crisis and emergency intervention to individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic.

The Psychiatric Emergency Screener (PES) conducts mental health evaluations and assessments to determine the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary. Works collaboratively with all staff to effectively communicate and problem solve. Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear. Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

• Bachelor s degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting;
• Must have and maintain a valid driver s license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record

• Master s degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster s, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting;
