Role Description The Psychotherapist in Private Practice will provide part-time, on-site clinical services at the practice location in Colts Neck Township, NJ. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, and offering ongoing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. The psychotherapist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, coordinate care as appropriate with other health professionals, and follow ethical and legal standards of practice.

Additional responsibilities include participating in case consultations, engaging in continuing education, and contributing to a supportive, respectful practice environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of emotional and behavioral concerns.
  • Demonstrated skills in Counseling , including experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
  • Active licensure as a LSW, LAC, LAMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, clinical license in New Jersey.
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed approaches).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small practice setting and to manage a part-time caseload reliably on-site.
  • Prior experience in private practice or outpatient mental health settings is preferred.
