Company Description Kid Therapy is a comprehensive pediatric private practice with two locations in Chester and Martinsville, New Jersey. The practice specializes in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and Social Skills services for children. Kid Therapy focuses on collaborative, family-centered care that supports each child's unique developmental needs. Team members work in a multidisciplinary environment, partnering with caregivers and other professionals to help children build functional skills for home, school, and community settings.

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Occupational Therapist, with potential for full time; role based in Chester, NJ. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate pediatric clients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to support motor, sensory, and daily living skills. Responsibilities include documenting progress, updating therapy goals, and communicating with caregivers about home programs and strategies. The role involves collaborating with other therapists and staff, participating in interdisciplinary planning, and maintaining professional and ethical standards of care.

The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to a supportive clinic environment that promotes safety, inclusion, and positive outcomes for children and their families.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including evaluation, treatment planning, and pediatric intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles relevant to pediatric therapy and developmental conditions.
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community providers.
  • Experience or training in Pediatrics, particularly working with children in clinic, school, or community settings.
  • Valid Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; advanced pediatric coursework is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt interventions to diverse needs.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
