A field-based Medical Science Director will support Medical Affairs through compliant scientific exchange, insight gathering, and cross-functional collaboration across oncology and related therapeutic areas (infectious disease, nephrology, acute/critical care). This role partners with HCPs/KOLs, pharmacy leaders, and institutional stakeholders across inpatient/outpatient settings to support medical strategy, evidence generation initiatives, and scientific engagement (congresses, advisory boards, education). Advanced scientific/clinical degree required and oncology experience required.
Responsibilities- Support medical affairs activities across oncology, infectious disease, nephrology, and acute care through compliant scientific exchange and insight gathering.
- Engage with healthcare providers, KOLs, pharmacy stakeholders, and institutional decision-makers to foster trusted relationships within inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assist in the development and execution of medical strategy, including publication planning and evidence dissemination.
- Identify and support clinical trial sites, investigators, and referral networks to facilitate study enrollment and execution.
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide scientific education and training to internal teams and collaborate within a matrix organization to achieve medical objectives.
- Advanced healthcare or scientific degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA-C, or equivalent).
- Preferred 1+ years of field medical/MSL experience in a related role.
- 1–5+ years of experience within an academic, healthcare, or pharmaceutical setting preferred.
- Oncology experience required, with additional experience in infectious disease, nephrology, or critical care strongly preferred.
- Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building abilities with healthcare providers and institutional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in scientific literature evaluation, medical data interpretation, and insight gathering.
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and compliance orientation.
