Our client is seeking a Medical Documentation Specialist to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. They boast a great company culture and a quick interview process!

$24/hr

The Medical Documentation Specialist will work closely with the provider to ensure all clinical documentation is accurate. This role is Monday - Friday, normal business hours, and verifies that all clinical information is finalized and charts are completed.

Responsibilities Of The Medical Documentation Specialist:

• The Medical Documentation Specialist will review medical charts, update notes, and ensure all reporting is updated.
• Work with the providers to ensure treatment plans are accurate.
• Update patient charts, obtain missing documentation, and speak with patients as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.

Required Experience/Skills For The Medical Documentation Specialist:

• Must have 2+ years of medical assistant/receptionist experience.
• Must have experience with an EMR.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA laws and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience/Skills For The Medical Documentation Specialist:

• Prior experience as a medical scribe is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
