Location: Hazlet, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $16.50 per hour

Join Our Team as a Recreation Aide!

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Recreation Aide to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging activities and meaningful social interactions. If you enjoy working with older adults and have a passion for creating fun, memorable experiences, we'd love to have you on our team!

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and lead individual and group recreational activities.

  • Facilitate cognitive, physical, social, and leisure programs that promote resident engagement.

  • Assist with coordinating monthly events, holiday celebrations, and special activities.

  • Encourage resident participation while adapting activities to individual interests, abilities, and needs.

  • Build positive relationships with residents and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment.

  • Assist with transporting residents to and from activities as needed.

  • Maintain activity supplies and ensure activity areas remain clean and organized.

  • Observe residents during activities and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.

  • Ensure resident safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.

  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience working with older adults or in a healthcare, recreation, or activities setting is preferred.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to engage residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities.
