Hiring Range: $54,420.65 - $68,025.81 Annually

The HIM supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Director of HIM and will serve as the central point person for external audit activities.

• Responsible and accountable for timely and accurate release of external audit requested patient information.
• Responsible for overseeing the functions of release of patient information and medical record chart completion.
• Responsible for training new staff in these areas.
• Responsible for tracking and follow-up of requests for information.
• Responsible for timely coordination of appeals and associated deadlines.

Required:

Associate’s Degree in Health Information Science

Preferred:

Bachelors Degree in Health Information Science

Required:

3 years HIM experience

Preferred:

5 years HIM experience in working with the payer community, medical staff and legal release of information requirements
