• Observe and report to the RN for all significant changes in a patient’s condition.
• Prepare and set up for suturing.
• Apply appropriate monitoring devices such as cardiac monitor, pulse oximeter, non‑invasive blood pressure, and Dinamap.
• Takes and records vital signs, height, weight, measures and records fluid intake and output, and collects specimens.
• Perform electrocardiograms.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (e.g., preparing patient for and assisting with meals, bathing).
• Provide one‑on‑one observation with required documentation for close observation monitoring.
• Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
• Follow through with physician orders.
• Assist with transport of patients within the hospital.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment by stocking patient care areas.
• Respond to patient/family requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with orthopedic procedures by applying posterior splints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Follow established policies and procedures.

Communicate openly with internal customers and supervisors.

Provide excellent customer service and interface well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.

• Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or EMT.
• Preferred:
  Candidates attending college for medical‑related careers.

High School graduate or equivalent.

American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Certification required.

Rotating shifts, days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
