ED Technician

Location:

Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Position:
Hourly, Day Shift. Pay: $25.25 per hour.

The Emergency Department Technician will assist the nursing team in delivering patient care in the ED. This role supports patient admission, monitoring, and discharge processes under RN supervision.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.

• Completion of NA, CNA, PCA, EMT, or related clinical program, or prior experience within those roles.
• Strong communication skills and medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

• Perform patient care activities under RN direction, including critical unit support and clerical duties.
• Provide age‑appropriate patient care based on physical, educational, and safety criteria.
• Ensure safe patient outcomes through judgment and critical actions.
• Communicate with patients and nursing staff regarding care status.
• Collaborate in patient care planning from admission through discharge.
• Report safety concerns such as hazardous environments or medical errors.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
