Medical Biller (Durable Medical Equipment)

Schedule:
Full-Time LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company in Camden County, NJ to identify an experienced Medical Biller for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in medical billing, insurance claims processing, and collections who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims accurately and timely to commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Manage accounts receivable and collections activities to reduce outstanding balances.
- Investigate billing discrepancies and resolve insurance and patient billing issues.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
- Post payments, adjustments, and denials into the billing system.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing matters.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports and assist with month-end billing and collections activities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience, preferably within a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) environment.
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing, and collections.
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers.
- Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding terminology.
- Proficiency with medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DME reimbursement guidelines and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable management and collections best practices.
- Medical Billing and Coding certification is a plus.
