Job Description

Join a growing mental and behavioral health team as an Outpatient Clinician l (LSW or LAC). As an OP Clinician I, you will provide therapeutic services to patients in an outpatient setting under administrative supervision and as a part of a multidisciplinary team member.

The OP Clinician I responsibilities include:

  • Provides short-term evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups.
  • Assess clients’ needs, interpret nature of psychiatric/behavioral health conditions, formulate proper diagnosis, and prescribe course of treatment as part of comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Actively participates in treatment team meetings and supervision.
  • As part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with members of the psychiatric team (MD’s/APRN’s), as well as other clinicians to ensure superior service is provided to each client.
  • Recommend appropriate level of care after evaluating each client and diligently link to services outside of the company when needed.
  • Create individual service plans and modify treatment approaches utilizing assessment data from standardized instruments.
  • Collaborate with all relevant and related community providers/agencies/schools to support assessment, treatment, service planning, and discharge.
  • Serve as a source of information regarding community resources to youth, adults and families.
  • Maintain all required case documentation according to State of N.J. and our organizations Outpatient Standards.
  • Enter clinical notes and other collateral information into the agency’s electronic medical record (EMR) system same day care is provided to the client.
  • Submit accurate daily billing for services in EMR and in accordance with performance targets.
  • To the best of one’s ability, ensure that sessions start and end when scheduled.
  • Promote family engagement/participation and utilize evidence-based practice to inform family therapy modality.
  • Responsible for performing chart audits and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Uphold New Jersey professional license and ensure it remains in good standing.
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with professional association ethics and guidelines.
  • Meet performance and productivity targets.
  • Perform duties are required.
Requirements
  • Possession of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
  • In-depth clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric and behavioral health issues.
  • Current verifiable New Jersey State license in good-standing required (LSW or LAC)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
  • The ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Good leadership skills are preferred, including working competently with individuals and groups (e.g., initiating individual or group discussion, active listening, clarifying, facilitating interactions and sharing of ideas).
  • Spanish Fluency is a plus; but not required.
  • Compensation is based on licensing and experience.
  • Clinical Supervision provided towards clinical licensure.

The position offers a work/life balance with 1 remote day and 4 in-person days. No Weekends or on-call hours, but evenings are required
. Free clinical supervision and generous paid time off, including days to earn your license-required CEUs.
