We are hiring a Therapist II (Audiologist) - Part time for one of our clients in Woodbine, NJ
.
- Case Management
- Triennial Hearing Screenings
- Annual Hearing Screenings
- New Admission Hearing Screenings
- In-service Training
- Hearing Conservation Program (for Employees)
- Equipment Safeguarding/Calibration/Procurement
- Maintaining Audiology Files
- Maintaining Statistical Reports
- Annual Review of Audiology Procedures
- Submission of Detailed Monthly Billing
- Provides case management for all individuals with diagnosed hearing losses (mild profound).
- TRIENNIAL HEARING SCREENINGS:
Screening of approx. 150 individuals. - Submits final draft quality screening report. Conduct additional screenings if necessary. Consuls with individuals, WDC Staff, family or guardians.
- ANNUAL HEARING SCREENINGS:
Submits final draft quality screenings and make any recommendations as needed. - NEW ADMISSION HEARING SCREENINGS:
Administers hearing screenings to new admissions within fourteen (14) days of admission date. - INSERVICE TRAINING Provides in-service training to WDC staff
- HEARING CONSERVATION PROGRAM Participates in the WDC Hearing Conservation Program for employees in cooperation with the Safety Office.
- Evaluates at-risk staff as identified by the Safety Office.
- In-services staff on hearing safety, etc.
- Maintains testing and training records.
- EQUIPMENT SAFEGUARDING AND CALIBRATION WDC has available all-needed equipment, inclusive of portable audiometer, diagnostic audiometer and sound booth, impedance audiometer and evoked response audiometer.
- MAINTAINING AUDIOLOGY FILES:
Maintains confidentiality. - Maintains Audiology, Speech Department Files, and Client Binders current as they pertain to all audiological information
- STATISTICAL REPORTS Submits a monthly statistical report by the 3rd work day
- ANNUAL REVIEW OF AUDIOLOGY PROCEDURES All procedures must be reviewed and updated annually.
- Any needed revisions must be completed by May 30th of contract year.
- Applicants must possess a current and valid license to practice Speech Language Pathology and/or Audiology in the State of New Jersey as issued by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Department of Law and Public Safety.
- Proficient in American Sign Language preferred but not mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an earned Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
- Four years of experience in applying the theory, principles, and/or techniques of speech-language therapy or audiology
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
- 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM 21 Hours
- Lunch Hours (Unpaid): half hour unpaid
- Dress Code:
