Respiratory Therapist
- Homecare (RRT or CRT) - Employment Type:
Permanent, On-site - Schedule:
Monday
- Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week) - Coverage Area:
Mt. Arlington and surrounding Northern NJ communities - Vehicle:
Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement
- Active New Jersey State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience, preferably in home health, pulmonary care, or ventilator management
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
- Proficient with documentation technology and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach
- Perform in-home patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans
- Provide education on oxygen therapy, airway management, inhaled medications, and home ventilator care
- Adjust ventilator settings per physician orders and monitor ventilator-dependent patients
- Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure safe optimal function
- Document services, clinical findings, and patient interactions accurately in electronic records
- Provide phone support, follow-up care, and emergency guidance for home respiratory patients
- Support training and orientation of new clinical staff and contribute to quality improvement
- Experience with home ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, long-term ventilation, and pulmonary rehabilitation
- Knowledge of home oxygen titration, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Comfortable delivering clinical respiratory services in a home health setting
