Job Purpose and

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for supporting medical affairs communications strategy, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of scientific data to physicians, pharmacists, investigators, healthcare institutions, agencies, and patients. The Senior Manager Medical Affairs Communications will oversee the development of medical response documents and FAQs, medical review of promotional and US Medical Affairs materials, and cross-functional collaborations to support therapeutic portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Information Strategy & Execution
  • Lead the creation, review, and dissemination of medical and scientific content for pharmacological and biological products.
  • Ensure all scientific information is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with peer-reviewed studies and consensus guidelines .
  • Oversee the development of standardized response documents for medical inquiries.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate medical insights into communication strategies.
  • Medical Review & Promotional Content
  • Provide medical review for advertising, promotional materials, sales training, and field-based medical content.
  • Serve as the Medical Affairs representative on the Promotional Review Team (PRT) for assigned products/therapeutic areas.
  • Ensure that all medical content is scientifically rigorous, balanced, and accurate, based peer-reviewed publications compliant with standards .
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize medical content development and review processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Actively participate in Medical Affairs strategy planning discussions for assigned products/therapeutic areas.
  • Contribute medical strategy/perspective with internal partners (Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Drug Safety, Legal, etc.).
  • Manage and oversee the activities and planning of Medical Affairs booth at key medical and scientific conferences.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including HCPs and payers, to address medical inquiries and provide scientific support.
  • Medical Training & Knowledge Management
  • Support design, develop, and implement training materials for the Sales Force, MSLs, Customer Care Services, and other internal teams.
  • Support the development of educational materials to enhance scientific knowledge across the organization.
  • Maintain and optimize medical communications information systems to ensure up-to-date clinical content.
  • Data Analysis & Insights Generation
  • Analyze utilization reports from customer interactions via Medical Communications channels to identify trends, patterns, and emerging medical trends to assigned products/therapeutic areas.
  • Develop and present insights to leadership, shaping future medical communication strategies.
  • Support the review and analysis of medical education grant proposals to ensure alignment with scientific and educational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) with pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience, or equivalent clinical background.
  • Strong understanding of peer-reviewed literature, consensus guidelines, and medical communications best practices.
  • Proven ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in medical information services, drug information, or medical communications within a pharma or biotech company.
  • Strong problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Experience in medical training development and scientific content creation is preferred.
  • Experience with budget management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement is a plus.
  • 2+ years of industry experience, preferred.
  • Prior launch experience is preferred.
