Health Officer​/Registered Environmental Health Specialist; REHS; Colts Neck Township

The township is seeking a full-time Health Officer/REHS to oversee all statutory duties of the Health Department. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, administering, and enforcing public health and environmental health programs pursuant to New Jersey statutes, regulations, and local ordinances. Since Colts Neck relies heavily on individual on-site sewage disposal systems and water wells the applicant will need to provide technical oversight to include, but not limited to, application reviews and approvals, site evaluations, construction inspections, final approvals, and enforcement actions.

Required licences includes a valid Health Officer and Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) License issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and a valid New Jersey driver licence. Valid Certified Health Education Specialist, a plus. Salary range $85,000 to $150,000 per annum commensurate with qualifications and experience. Final date to receive applications is October 9, 2026.
