Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and providing a warm welcome
• Assisting guests with menu selections and answering questions
• Taking orders accurately and transmitting them to the kitchen promptly
• Serving food and beverages with attention to detail and presentation
• Supporting the preparations for the service and making sure all areas are always looking their best
• Supporting the preparation of all necessary mise-en-place
• Cleaning agreed designated areas, in accordance with laid-down procedures, morning/evening routines, and hygiene requirements
• Collaborating with the Maître and kitchen staff to ensure overall restaurant success

Core Competencies

• Fluent in English & Italian is a must
• 3+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
• Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
• Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage can be necessary
• Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
• Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
• Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
• Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
