Food & Beverage Manager
Peddie Golf Club, located in Hightstown, NJ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Food & Beverage Manager. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and manages the food and beverage (F&B) operation, while working closely with the Clubs General Manager.
- Prepares and monitors annual budget, and is responsible for revenue goals and the expenses for the food and beverage department.
- Responsible for monthly inventory control, counts, and reporting, as well as generating various monthly reports and forecasts.
- Supports all F&B staff and operations as a working manager while upholding service standards, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
- Oversee clubhouse opening and closing procedures and ensure completion of operational checklists.
- Creates the staff schedule and manages staffing levels during service.
- Provide real-time coaching and operational support to F&B staff, including POS assistance as needed.
- Contracts, plans and manages all banquets. Expected to be a working participant from beginning to end of event.
- Support revenue goals through suggestive selling and creation of F&B related events.
- Maintain dining room cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support Food & Beverage operations.
- Consistently demonstrate professional leadership presence on the floor during assigned shifts.
- Support high levels of member satisfaction through attentive service, responsiveness, and effective issue resolution.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with members, staff, and management.
- Adapt to changing operational needs and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for all scheduled shifts.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years leadership experience in a restaurant, golf club, or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of service standards, dining room operations, and event execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Schedule flexibility based on business needs.
