We are seeking an experienced and employee‑focused Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team on a temporary 6‑month assignment covering a maternity leave. This role will primarily support employee relations matters including performance management, workplace investigations, coaching, and policy guidance across the organization.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping them navigate complex people matters with confidence and sound judgement. You’ll manage a high‑volume portfolio of employee relations cases, conduct impartial investigations, and coach leaders to strengthen performance and accountability across the business.

The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, exercises strong judgement, has a natural curiosity, and is comfortable and confident in managing sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees on employee relations matters
  • Conduct and manage workplace investigations involving policy violations, employee complaints, and interpersonal conflicts
  • Partner with leadership on performance management processes, including coaching, documentation, PIPs, and terminations
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Support conflict resolution and facilitate difficult employee conversations
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation related to investigations and employee matters
  • Collaborate with legal and HR leadership on complex employee relations issues
  • Identify trends and recommend practical solutions to improve employee experience and mitigate risk
  • Support additional HR initiatives and projects during the temporary assignment
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive
Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and investigations
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing performance management and workplace investigations
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience supporting multi‑state employee populations (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP) is an asset
