About the Role

Bright Star Care of Hunterdon County is a leading provider of home healthcare services and a locally owned and operated franchise of the nationally recognized Bright Star Care brand, committed to A Higher Standard of Care. As our Recruiter, you will build the team that delivers that care by sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals across two locations, our Hunterdon County and Mercer County sites.

The role moves quickly and involves managing several open positions across both offices at once, so strong organization and sound judgment are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition: Source, recruit, and hire qualified healthcare professionals, including Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other home healthcare staff, to meet ongoing staffing needs across both the Hunterdon County and Mercer County sites.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Use job boards, social media, referrals, and networking events to identify and engage candidates.
  • Candidate Tracking: Maintain detailed documentation of candidate status within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Screening and Interviews: Conduct phone screenings, coordinate interviews, and evaluate candidate qualifications and fit for each role.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain an active candidate pipeline so the team can respond to staffing needs without delay.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all hires meet licensing, certification, background check, and driving record requirements in line with state and federal regulations.
  • Community Outreach: Attend job fairs and recruitment events, and build relationships with local trade schools, community organizations, and professional groups to source talent.
  • Offer Management: Prepare and manage contingent offer letters and supporting documentation.
  • Reference Checks: Conduct thorough reference checks to confirm candidate reliability and compliance.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with candidates to support engagement and long-term retention.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand staffing priorities, timelines, and challenges.
  • Recruitment Metrics: Track and report performance metrics such as time-to-fill, sourcing efficiency, and retention to improve outcomes over time.
