Technical Support Field Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Description
  • Support product technical acceptance and certification process
  • Assist product validation, verification and regression to ensure product quality, performance, reliability, usability, durability and conformance that meet the company’s and customer’s KPIs
  • Ensure high system‑level product quality/performance and out‑of‑the‑box user experience
  • Support field test as necessary
  • Manage and monitor all installed systems, maintained automated infrastructure and coordination test house activities
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and automation tools
  • Track and maintain highest levels of systems and infrastructure operation
  • Monitor performance for potential bottlenecks, provide solutions and work‑arounds, and validate fixes and update test reports
  • Maintain physical and network security, backup, and provide fail‑over and backup strategies
  • Provide and improve automation test items to increase efficiency and reduce human intervention time
  • Engage with product group on second‑ and third‑level problem escalation
  • Attend frequent vendor and customer meetings and visits for product feedback and future opportunities
  • Provide technical post‑sales support to R&D team
  • Work with R&D and DQA/SQA teams to ensure features delivery/inclusion
  • Adhere to bug tracking process per corporate product development lifecycle
Requirements And Qualifications
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of work experience
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot test setup with exposure in Windows, Linux, Android OS
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machine and/or Docker/Container is a plus
  • Experience in TCP/IP v4/v6 network and basic knowledge of test automation operation/framework
  • Able to demonstrate scripting skills in shell, batch and BASH scripts
  • Team player able to adapt to a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to learn and explore new technologies
  • Big plus with experience in wireless and wired telecommunication industry:
    • Fixed and mobile broadband, cellular, LAN and PAN
    • Hands‑on experience in commercial tools – network, mobile, field, diagnostics, logging, automation, E2E
    • Knowledge and experience with carriers’ certification and technical approval process
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Ability to work in a team as well as an individual contributor when necessary
  • Out‑of‑the‑box thinking, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to provide alternative solutions to achieve goals in a dynamic environment
  • Analytical skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
