Dynarex is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Care & EDI Specialist to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Montvale, NJ. This role combines exceptional customer service with technical expertise in electronic data interchange (EDI) and order management. You will serve as the first point of contact for customers and sales inquiries, provide timely support for order processing and product information, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of EDI transactions, troubleshooting integration issues, and supporting smooth supply chain workflows.

Customer Support & Order Management- Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, orders, and account information.
- Process and manage customer orders through email, CRM, and EDI portals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers and sales representatives.
- Research product information and provide timely, accurate resolutions to customer requests.
- Handle and elevate customer complaints with professionalism and empathy, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to provide information needed to close deals and build long-term relationships.
- Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and IT to address customer needs and resolve order-related issues.
- Participate in team efforts to improve procedures, create corrective actions, and enhance communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and the overall customer experience.
- Manage EDI transactions, including purchase orders (850), invoices (810), advance ship notices (856), and warehouse orders/confirmations (940/945).
- Use EDI mapping and translation tools (e.g., True Commerce, SPS Commerce) to ensure accurate data exchange.
- Troubleshoot EDI and data transmission issues (VAN/AS2/FTP/SFTP setups).
- Partner with IT and operations teams to ensure compliance with partner specifications and supply chain workflows.
- Utilize SQL or database queries to investigate order traceability issues.
- Support integration projects involving APIs, REST/SOAP, or automation scripting (Python, Power Shell, Excel macros).
- Coordinate testing timelines and project deliverables with trading partners.
- Stay current with company products, policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training to build product knowledge, customer service, and technical competencies.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to foster loyalty and retention.
Required:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of customer service or order management experience, preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
