Senior Site Reliability Engineer - NYC

We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and operate the infrastructure foundation that supports engineering teams. The role centers on reliability, scalability, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, and automation that allows developers to ship high-quality products with confidence.

This organization is a decentralized public blockchain network built to give developers the tools to create experiences that feel more like cash than crypto. The network is designed to be faster, cheaper, and more energy efficient than most blockchain-based systems, with an ecosystem intended to make real-world, lasting impact.

The team is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build and operate the foundation that powers engineering teams. You will ensure the reliability and scalability of core systems, improve the infrastructure behind production environments, and automate operational work so developers can focus on building great products.

• Maintain, improve, scale, and secure AWS / GCP infrastructure and Linux systems.
• Assist development teams in running, packaging, deploying, and troubleshooting applications.
• Work with developers on streamlining deployment processes with Jenkins and other CI / CD tooling.
• Build, maintain, monitor, and improve Kubernetes clusters.
• Partner with development teams on migrating applications to Kubernetes.
• Own maintenance and improvements to multiple internal services, including Kubernetes, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Monitor, triage, and respond to alerts in high-availability environments.
• Participate in design and code reviews and ensure the infrastructure foundation for services is best in class.
• Evaluate new technologies and design and implement them where appropriate.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement them through custom or off-the-shelf solutions.

• 5+ years of experience working in cloud-based systems operations as an SRE or Dev Ops engineer.
• First‑hand experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code, including tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
• Proficiency with SRE methodologies such as capacity planning and disaster recovery testing to ensure the scalability, resilience, and availability of critical services.
• Production experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
• Ability to write code as part of day‑to‑day infrastructure and reliability work.

• Ability to understand Go, Rust, C++, and Type Script source code.
• Experience experimenting with AI‑driven approaches to operations.
• Comfort participating in on‑call rotations and conducting thorough root‑cause analyses to keep systems running smoothly.
• Experience managing production workloads and using monitoring tools to detect issues early.
• Strong understanding of computer networking, TCP / UDP, load balancing, distributed computing, web services, and core internet protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, and DNS.
• Blockchain experience is not required.
• Experience using AI is a plus.
