Candidates must reside in the DMV area or West Virginia.
Our client is seeking a strategic, enterprise-level Agile Coach who can champion Lean-Agile transformation across the organization. This role serves as a change agent-driving continuous improvement, building Agile maturity, and enabling leaders, teams, and programs to deliver business value with a Lean-Agile mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Agile Leadership (40%)
- Lead and advance enterprise-wide Lean-Agile adoption.
- Partner with leadership to refine the Agile vision and transformation roadmap.
- Develop and optimize Lean-Agile metrics, training materials, and best practices.
- Identify value flow across the enterprise and remove organizational blockers to agility.
- Coach teams on frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
- Strengthen Agile mindset, predictability, quality, flow, and transparency across teams.
- Enable high-performing, self-managing teams through psychological safety and empowerment.
- Support Value Stream identification, ART planning, team preparation, and ART execution.
- Apply SAFe and product thinking to develop and sustain platform teams.
- Deliver workshops, presentations, and training on Agile concepts, roles, ceremonies, release planning, backlog refinement, story writing, technical practices, and product/Dev Ops alignment.
- Stay current with Agile and industry trends to identify characteristics of high-performing organizations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
- 10+ years of experience with Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Proven success leading large-scale Agile transformations.
- 5+ years coaching and training teams in SAFe (preferred).
- Expert knowledge of Lean, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP, Dev Ops, and Agile ceremonies.
- Understanding of Product Management, Dev Ops, Test Automation, Info Sec, Architecture, and related functions supporting value delivery.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard Agile tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to drive organizational change, manage conflict, and influence all levels of leadership.
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
