- Lead all Data AI Platforms initiatives and create the Data AI Platforms strategy.
- Implement and improve current Data Platforms, Data Products, and Data Semantic Layer to support downstream AI, CRM, and analytics initiatives.
- Create new Data Products and provide data to all AI initiatives.
- Lead Data Quality initiatives and Data Quality Platforms.
- Lead the MDM and Customer Data Master initiatives.
- Act as the primary contact within the StAT organization for data platform, data semantic layer, and MDM related needs, queries, and issues.
- Lead governance for data platforms, MDM, data quality, and the data semantic layer.
- Direct onboarding, change management, issue resolution, and data integration projects for data platforms.
- Lead data platform-centric projects, managing resources, execution, and communication.
- Collaborate with internal business partners on data validation and coordination activities for incentive compensation, sales forecasting, and other field-based reports.
- Engage business process owners to align on mitigation of data events/changes in commercial operations.
- Lead annual budgeting for assigned data platform portfolio, build purchase orders, and collaborate with finance, procurement, and business owners on spend supervision.
- Maintain an inventory of data platforms and products, promoting organizational awareness of data use cases.
- Participate in the evaluation of new data platforms that could provide strategic benefit.
- Ensure vendor alignment with SLAs, data quality, and timely delivery of services.
- Lead multiple cross-functional teams, including the Data AI Platforms/One Data Platform Team, Master Data Management / Customer 360 Team, Marketing Data Team, and Data Quality Team.
- 15+ years of experience in data platforms, AI, MDM, analytics, and related commercial excellence areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in AI, Mathematics, Business, Technology, Data, Physics, Analytics, or Health Sciences required;
Master’s degree or equivalent experience is an asset. - Advanced knowledge of data AI platforms and experience with pharma industry syndicated/secondary data vendors such as IQVIA, Komodo, Symphony, SPP, and RWE/HEOR providers.
- Previous experience establishing and leading data platforms and partnerships with external vendors.
- Strong grasp of data platforms, data analytics, AI, and machine learning concepts and their application to business operations.
- Knowledge of data querying and business intelligence tools that enable effective management of large data sets.
- Proficiency with data sources/products and experience with pharma industry syndicated/secondary data.
- Preferred experience with MDM tools such as Informatica or Reltio and their application within an MDM solution.
- Strong analytical toolkit, including modern BI tools and infrastructure, and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Preferred experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI.
- Proven project management experience in cross‑functional technology projects.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business analysis skills focused on MDM operational processes across therapeutic areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues.
- Customer‑focused mindset with relationship building, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
- Detail‑oriented, results‑driven, with the ability to apply policies and standards consistently.
- Understanding of data platforms governance standards, data lifecycle, metadata, and data management.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and decision‑making abilities based on meticulous data analysis.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
