Associate Director, Real-World Data (RWD) & Epidemiology Analytic

The Associate Director, Real-World Data (RWD) & Epidemiology Analytics will serve as a strategic and technical lead in developing and executing Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Epidemiology studies to support assigned oncology assets/indications across the product lifecycle. The individual will partner closely with CORE asset leads, along with internal and external collaborators to develop fit-for-purpose RWE strategies and analytics. This position will also champion AI-enabled RWE analytics capabilities, helping modernize evidence generation approaches through scalable, innovative analytical methodologies and emerging technologies.

This position reports to Head of RWD & Epi analytics at Center for Outcomes Research, Real World Evidence and Epidemiology (CORE).

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support CORE asset leads to design and develop observational studies, database analyses, and epidemiologic investigations to support clinical development, market access and payer evidence needs.
  • Review study protocol and co-author study design, data and statistical analysis related sections of protocol for assigned asset/indication
  • Develop actionable analysis plan for assigned studies, including define study cohorts, study variables, analytic data files, statistical methods, mock table shells and data visualization, and master codebook, drive execution and delivery of study results.
  • Ensure methodological rigor and regulatory-grade analytical quality in RWE studies.
  • Ensure proper documentation of study analysis plan, mock tables and graphs, analytic data files, master codebook (with ICD-10, NDC, HCPCS, CPT, etc) and SAS/R programs, along with final deliverable results.
  • Collaborate with CORE asset leads as a strategic thinking partner on study design, methodological approaches, evidence gaps, and publication planning.
  • Evaluate data fitness, cohort availability, endpoint ascertainment, and analytical feasibility to inform strategic RWE decisions.
  • Translate data insights into practical recommendations for study design, evidence planning, and business decision-making.
  • Support vendor evaluation and external data partnership assessments as needed.
  • Contribute to long-term RWD & Epi analytics and RWE capability building and innovation initiatives within the organization.
  • Champion AI-enabled RWE analytics approaches to improve efficiency, scalability, and insight generation across evidence programs.
  • Drive adoption of modern analytics workflows, reproducible research practices, and scalable data science approaches.
  • Partner with internal analytics and technology stakeholders to advance next-generation RWE capabilities.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Outcomes Research, Public Health, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline (PhD, DrPH, ScD, PharmD, or equivalent preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in RWE, epidemiology, HEOR, or healthcare analytics within the pharmaceutical, biotech, consulting, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong expertise in oncology RWD sources, observational study design, and epidemiologic methods.
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare databases including claims, EHR, registries, and linked datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting evidence generation for clinical development and/or market access.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical programming and analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL, SAS).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting oncology assets and complex oncology indications preferred.
  • Knowledge of global RWE regulatory and payer evidence expectations.
  • Deep epidemiologic and analytical expertise
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
  • Operational agility in a fast-paced oncology environment
