The IT Coordinator is the organization's first dedicated, in house technology professional, serving both The Training Center and Essential Services. Working alongside our current third-party IT provider, this role owns the daily technology experience of every employee while driving long term improvement of our operational tech stack. Responsibilities balance responsive support, including IT ticket resolution and user onboarding across our predominantly Mac environment with select Windows machines, against strategic leadership: rationalizing software subscriptions to eliminate waste, managing large network projects, strengthening security, and raising software utilization across the staff.
For the Services Division, the role ensures reliable connectivity, equipment, and support for full-time staff at remote program locations.
Help Desk and End User Support
- Serve as the primary contact for all IT support requests; administer a formal ticketing system with defined response and resolution targets, providing daily support on site at both the Branchburg and Wrightstown offices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, audio and visual, connectivity, and account issues for macOS (primary platform) and Windows users, and manage the full device lifecycle from procurement and enrollment through secure offboarding.
- Support classroom and training room technology for The Training Center and provide responsive remote support with scheduled visits for fulltime Services Division staff at remote locations.
- Maintain a complete inventory of software subscriptions and licenses with cost, ownership, renewal dates, and utilization; consolidate redundant tools, renegotiate renewals, and report measurable savings to leadership.
- Administer core platforms and identity management, including Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, single sign on, and multifactor authentication, and manage the Mac fleet through a mobile device management platform such as Jamf or Mosyle, with Intune or similar for Windows devices.
- Evaluate, pilot, and implement improvements to the operational tech stack, including automation opportunities, and maintain hardware asset inventories and refresh plans for all locations.
- Plan, budget, and manage large network and infrastructure projects, including wired and wireless upgrades, firewall replacements, phone systems, and new site buildouts, from vendor selection through completion and documentation.
- Oversee network performance and uptime at Branchburg, Wrightstown, and remote Services Division locations, and establish secure remote connectivity so staff at every site can work reliably.
- Manage the third party IT provider relationship, hold vendors accountable to service level agreements, and lead the phased transition of appropriate services in house, with thorough documentation of systems and procedures.
- Assess how effectively employees use current software, identify skills gaps, and deliver practical training through group sessions, individual coaching, and quick reference guides that measurably improve proficiency.
- Lead change management for new tools and workflows, partnering with department leaders in both divisions to fit technology to how their teams actually operate.
Deliver technology orientation for all new hires so every employee starts with working equipment, correct access, and baseline proficiency on day one.
