MS​/Fabric Platform Engineer

Location: Whippany

Job Overview:
Pay Range: $65.00hr - $70.00hr Requirement/Must Have: 10+ years of experience in platform engineering or administration. Expertise in Microsoft Fabric enterprise environments including capacities, work spaces, and One Lake. Proficiency in Dev Sec Ops  frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure workloads.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra n with Fabric and Azure services.

Experience with Azure-based platform infrastructure and cloud-native services. Knowledge of networking security boundaries and private connectivity.

Experience with logging, tracing, and operational dashboards for platform health. Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Fabric enterprise environments. Administer Fabric capacities, work spaces, One Lake, and platform configurations. Establish platform standards, governance frameworks, and operational procedures. Build reusable deployment frameworks for Fabric workloads. Manage platform scalability, performance optimization, and capacity planning. Implement high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery capabilities. Design and implement enterprise Dev Sec Ops  frameworks for Microsoft Fabric. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure workloads.

Automate environment provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and governance activities. Integrate security controls throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Manage One Lake, Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Data Engineering. Monitor capacity utilization and optimize platform resource consumption and costs. Manage release processes across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments. Implement enterprise security controls, RBAC, and least-privilege access models. Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.

Establish end-to-end platform monitoring, alerting, and reliability KPIs. Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Architects, Security Teams, and stakeholders to define engineering standards.
