Our Legal Team seeks to hire an employment and litigation attorney with 2+ years of experience to join its team of dynamic attorneys. This role will work alongside the Sr. Employment Counsel and Sr. Disputes & Litigation Counsel and will require the ability to advise on a broad spectrum of employment issues, draft various employment- related agreements, defend the organization in EEOC charges, analyze pre-litigation disputes, and assist with managing litigation with outside counsel.
This attorney must be a team player and willing to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. The new hire will be part of a successful legal team, reporting to Senior Counsel, Disputes & Litigation, and will use their legal skills to contribute to the operations of the business.
This position requires working on site in our Somerset, NJ location on Tuesday and Thursday.
Responsibilities- Be able to manage litigation internally, as well as manage outside counsel;
- Be able to prepare, negotiate, review and revise numerous employment-related contracts;
- Operate effectively in a highly visible and demanding role;
- Have excellent research and writing skills;
- Be energetic, engaged and able to demonstrate past examples of taking a proactive, innovative approach in the management of employment and litigation issues;
- Be able to weigh legal risk against business needs and realities, and make decisions based on sound judgment;
- Be comfortable and efficient in a fast-paced environment;
- Display the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity;
- Develop creative and compliant solutions to assist in resolving complicated issues;
- Health care industry background is preferred; and
- Occasional travel may be required.
- A law degree from an accredited U.S. Law School and a membership in the PA, NJ or NY bar;
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience;
- Must have high energy, be engaged, and have demonstrated a hands-on, proactive and innovative approach in counseling and litigation practice;
- A keen ability to provide practical advice by weighing legal risk against business needs and realities;
- Must be comfortable and efficient in a fast-paced environment;
- Must be hardworking, team-oriented and possess the ability to think creatively and efficiently in resolving business issues; and
- Must make decisions based on sound judgment and display the highest level of ethical conduct and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in legal research and utilizing legal technology tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proactive approach to multitasking and prioritizing.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to team efforts and initiatives.

- The pay range for this position is expected to be between $54,494 and $60,549 annual; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges.
