Summary:
- Location: Parsippany, NJ
- Duration: 12 Months
- Work Mode: Onsite at 700 Parsippany Road
- Hours:
8am to 5pm EST
- Monitor active purchase orders from placement through final delivery to ensure alignment with committed delivery dates
- Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgments, lead times, shipment status, and delivery commitments
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activity, including order updates, schedule changes, and supplier communications
- Proactively identify potential delays or supply risks and communicate issues to buyers, requestors, and other stakeholders in a timely manner
- Support mitigation efforts for delivery issues, including coordination of expedited shipments when required
- Notify the buyer and/or internal requestor when supplier delivery dates will not meet required need dates
- Assist with invoice follow-up activities, including tracking and helping resolve blocked or delayed invoices
- Prepare routine and ad hoc reports related to vendor performance, delivery status, and material logistics
- Ensure purchasing information in ERP/MRP systems remains current, accurate, and complete
- Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, finance, production, logistics, and other internal teams as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, expediting, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactional activities with accuracy and timeliness
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems
- Ability to respond effectively under pressure
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environment
- Familiarity with supplier management and order tracking processes
- Experience supporting invoicing or resolving purchase order/invoice discrepancies
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. nationality is required due to export control regulations
