Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist II – Non‑Driver (Non‑Auction)
Position Summary:
The Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialists will facilitate and manage the process of transportation of customer vehicles within an assigned region.
- Demonstrate proficiency in making real‑time phone calls through the recorded line to verify vehicle status with pickup sites.
- Build relationship with Manheim Auction commercial team and management.
- Show proficiency with communication via recorded line phone system.
- Manage email boxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional emails.
- Enter all manual orders and process other AS400 system orders.
- Manage escalated Client Success VINs with peers and agents.
- Monitor holds and verification delays.
- Dispatch negotiation and apply a deep understanding of sales tactics to increase margin.
- Action AutoIMS for Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, and ETA's.
- Follow up with carriers on several VINs daily.
- Process fees and post assessorial charges to records.
- Request Hold Harmless/Releases.
- Investigate kickbacks of VINs by carriers to get units re‑dispatched.
- Hold carriers accountable to their plan.
- Create and manage corrective action for vendors.
- Monitor order entry failures throughout the day and correct them.
- Understand margin relative to position and some tracking of margin requirements.
- Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
- Measure performance – understand analytics for clients and vendors.
- Report on performance results for high‑level management and executive leaders.
- Compile vehicle transportation related data and generate reports.
- Follow all job‑related duties as directed by supervisor.
- Be an outside‑the‑box thinker who can solve problems quickly.
- 1‑3 years of administrative experience (automotive industry preferred).
- Working knowledge of computer usage including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver results.
- Excellent customer service and multi‑tasking skills.
- High attention to detail, including precise data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
- Some college education.
- 1+ years of experience in transportation field or automotive auction house.
- 1+ years of experience in sales or call center.
To be employed in this role, staff must clear a pre‑employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre‑employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, it is a drug‑free workplace, and the possession, use, or being under the influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
BenefitsEmployees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
