About the role
The Logistics Director US is responsible for leading and optimizing the logistics operations across North America, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused delivery of goods. This role oversees transportation, warehousing, and distribution, and plays a critical role in strategic decision-making, financial delivery, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Scope includes managing logistics across 3 different business units and provides indirect guidance to Canada logistics operations.
You will showcase strategic leadership through developing and executing logistics transformational strategies including automation, network design, freight management, embellishment, and flexible labor. You will lead strong partnership with 3PLs to drive more efficient and effective operations and achieving best in class performance. You will possess strong knowledge of financial delivery through a robust productivity process and ability to connect logistics metrics with financial performance and have a continous improvement ad root cause analysis mindset.
Your responsibilities
In the role of Logistics Director, you will demonstrate operational excellence, overseeing transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and environmental standards. You will monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet performance targets and oversee the delivery of monthly shipments and course correct where needed to delivery business targets.
You will lead, mentor and develelop a high perfoming logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and innovation.
You will manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers and negotiate contracts and service level agreements to optimize cost and service. You will champion the use of best in class logistics technologies (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) and support digital transofrmation initiatives.
Finally, you will possess strong customer focus, collaborating with Customer Service and Sales to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
The experience we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
* 15+ years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of managing complex logistics networks and driving operational improvements.
* 5+ years experience working in Customer Service, Planning, and other Supply Chain roles
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Experience with logistics systems and data analytics tools.
* Ability to travel domestically as needed.
