Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Scale House Operator / Weigh Station Attendant to manage truck weighing operations and maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound materials. This role is critical to ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficient flow of vehicles at the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate computerized and manual truck scales to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing loads
• Record load information including material type, weight, customer, hauler, and destination
• Issue scale tickets and maintain weight logs in accordance with company procedures
• Communicate clearly with truck drivers to ensure proper positioning on the scale
• Verify paperwork, permits, and load contents to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements
• Monitor facility traffic to promote safety and efficient vehicle flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scale house and surrounding area
• Report discrepancies, safety concerns, or equipment issues to management
• Adhere to company safety policies and operational standards at all times

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Park, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
