We move a lot of product, and we move fast. We're looking for a Logistics Coordinator who can keep shipments organized, communicate clearly, and make sure freight gets where it needs to go.
THE ROLEThe Logistics Coordinator will support the day-to-day movement of inbound and outbound freight across our operation.
You’ll work closely with transportation, warehouse, production, customer service, sales, drivers, and outside carriers to make sure shipments are scheduled, tracked, documented, and delivered accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, responsive, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments using company trucks, third-party carriers, and customer pickups
- Track freight from pickup through delivery and proactively identify delays or service issues
- Schedule warehouse, customer, and distribution center appointments
- Prepare, review, and maintain bills of lading, PODs, shipping documents, and transportation records
- Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, carriers, customers, warehouses, and internal teams
- Resolve missed appointments, rejected loads, delays, damaged freight, shortages, and scheduling conflicts
- Support tracking of logistics KPIs including on-time pickup, on-time delivery, OTIF, requested delivery dates, detention, and freight exceptions
- Coordinate freight across Chefler Foods' internal fleet and outside carriers
- Keep internal teams informed when shipment timing, inventory movement, or delivery schedules change
- Identify opportunities to improve routing, scheduling, communication, documentation, and overall logistics efficiency
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, supply chain, warehousing, or a related field preferred
- Hands-on experience with Samsara for fleet visibility, vehicle tracking, driver activity, routing, safety, or transportation operations strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and Share Point
- Experience using Claude or similar AI tools for research, communication, data organization, process improvement, and day-to-day productivity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, appointments, issues, and priorities at the same time
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience in food, beverage, CPG, manufacturing, transportation, or high-volume distribution is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
