Assist Maintenance staff with general upkeep of Camp Tecumseh property & grounds.

Responsibilities

The duties listed below are the primary duties of this position but are not all the duties that may be required. The Salvation Army reserves the right to change, reduce or expand the duties of this position at any time. Specifically, The Primary Duties Are

• Assist with general landscape maintenance of campgrounds as needed.
• Perform minor repairs on camp facilities or fixtures as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist with the preparation of Camp Tecumseh for summer camping season.
• Assist with larger maintenance projects as needed.
• Serve as part of the summer maintenance staff.
• Assist with year-round maintenance projects.
• Assist with rental group preparations.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience working with general maintenance machinery, such as lawn mowers, tractors, chainsaws, weed whips, wood splitters, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions and receive direction.
• Ability to obtain maintenance certifications as needed/required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs. unassisted.
• Must understand and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
