Operations Manager, Healthcare Management
Reporting to the Camp Program Director, the Camp Operations Director oversees and coordinates all operational systems, logistics, and behind-the-scenes support necessary for the safe and successful functioning of camp.
This position works in close collaboration with the Camp Program Director, Camp Curriculum Director, and Director of Camper & Family Engagement to ensure smooth daily operations and effective communication across all departments.
The Camp Operations Director manages supervision schedules, staff coverage, camp travel logistics, the Health Center, laundry and housekeeping operations, overnight supervision, and operational support staff. They will manage budgets, schedules, supply systems, and operational planning processes to ensure all aspects of camp run efficiently and safely. The Camp Operations Director is also responsible for tracking and reporting accurate camper and staff numbers, along with comprehensive allergy and dietary restriction data, to the Head Chef to ensure safe meal planning and dining operations.
This role directly supervises the Head of Support Staff, Camp Travel Specialist, Laundry & Housekeeping staff, Overnight Supervision staff, Camp Purchaser, and the Health Center Coordinator.
Preferred Qualifications- 21+ years old
- 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or program coordination
- 3–4 years of supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working in youth‑serving environments or summer camps preferred

Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate daily camp operations and logistical systems to ensure smooth and efficient function across program and residential areas
- Manage staff supervision schedules, daily coverage planning, and adjustments due to time off, illness, or emergencies
- Oversee the Health Center, including scheduling, procedures, staffing support, and communication related to camper health and wellness
- Supervise Laundry and Housekeeping staff and ensure cleanliness, order, and timely facility maintenance across camp
- Oversee logistics for camp travel including arrivals, departures, airport runs, off‑camp trips, and transportation needs
- Supervise Overnight Supervision staff and ensure safety and consistency in nighttime coverage systems
- Manage and reconcile operational budgets, purchasing needs, supply inventories, and equipment distribution
- Track total camper and staff numbers and maintain accurate daily counts of allergies and dietary restrictions; report this information to the Head Chef to support safe and appropriate meal planning
- Directly supervise the Head of Support Staff, Camp Travel Specialist, Laundry/Housekeeping staff, Overnight Supervision staff, Camp Purchaser, and the Health Center Coordinator
- Support conflict resolution, accommodations, and operational needs related to staff and camper well‑being
- Maintain documentation and tracking related to scheduling, operations, staffing, and logistics systems
- Collaborate with camp leadership to plan large‑scale events, schedule changes, emergency response systems, and operational priorities
- Serve on the Emergency Response Team and manage or support emergency preparedness drills in partnership with camp leadership
