Team Lead, Management

Staff Management Group is currently looking for a Team Lead for our client in Moonachie, NJ.

Pay rate: $17 - $18/hour

Schedule:

1st shift 7am-3pm, 2nd shift 3pm-11am, 3rd shift 11pm-7am

The Warehouse Team Lead is a key role within the warehouse operation, responsible for leading and guiding a team of warehouse associates to ensure efficient and accurate daily operations. This position involves both supervisory and hands‑on responsibilities, overseeing tasks such as inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping while providing leadership, direction, and support to the team.

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and assigning tasks to ensure productivity and teamwork.
• Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, and optimizing storage space.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet required standards and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and hazard‑free work environment.
• Oversee maintenance and minor repairs of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors.
• Prepare regular reports for management on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, productivity, and any issues requiring attention.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other departments, such as procurement and customer service, to facilitate efficient order processing and address logistical challenges.
• Assist in the training and development of warehouse team members, helping them acquire new skills and improve performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or a related field may be beneficial.
• Warehouse lead experience or some light management experience to work with a small crew and their production goals.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
• Must be bilingual in English AND Spanish.

The Warehouse Team Lead is a pivotal role in ensuring that the warehouse functions smoothly and that team members work cohesively and efficiently. They play a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling customer orders, and upholding safety and quality standards within the warehouse.
