Position: Account Director_ Hybrid (Dayton NJ Area)
Location: Cranbury

Position Summary

This role serves as the senior commercial leader responsible for shaping account strategy, elevating customer experience, and ensuring long-term partnership success across multiple sites. The Key Account Director will directly influence our approach to client engagement and service delivery, driving standardization, consistency, and excellence across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the commercial and strategic direction for our top five accounts, ensuring alignment between client goals and our service offerings.

• Develop and execute multi-year account plans focused on retention, growth, and continuous improvement.

• Conduct Core Objective reviews to deeply understand client priorities and ensure we remain proactive in anticipating needs and offering solutions.

• Provide dotted-line leadership to the CS teams across each site, ensuring consistent performance and alignment to strategic account goals.

• Standardize customer experience (CX) practices across all relevant sites to create a unified, best-in-class approach.

• Monitor account health through regular check-ins, performance analytics, and relationship pulse assessments.

• Serve as the primary point of escalation for all top-tier accounts, resolving issues quickly with a solution-oriented mindset.

• Lead and present Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), ensuring data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.

• Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with client stakeholders, fostering trust and partnership.

• Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service delivery and commercial alignment.

• Identify risks, opportunities, and trends affecting account performance and proactively develop action plans.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 7+ years of experience in account management, client success, or customer operations within a 3PL, logistics, or fulfillment environment.

• 3+ years of people leadership experience preferred.

• Proven experience in key account management or director-level roles within 3PL, logistics, supply chain, or related industries.

• Strong strategic thinking capability with the ability to translate client needs into operational and commercial requirements.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with demonstrated success managing senior-level client relationships.

• Highly organized, self-starter mentality with a track record of driving initiatives across multi-site or matrixed organizations.

• Comfortable rolling up sleeves in a hands-on environment while maintaining a strategic, big-picture perspective.

• Ability to identify solutions, remove barriers, and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
