Overview
The role involves the operation of power industrial vehicles for the control and storage of materials. Responsibilities include receiving inbound materials via bulk tankers, inspecting the quality of incoming products, and conducting cycle counts. The role requires accurate recording of inventories for various products across freezer/cooler and warehouse locations. Additionally, the position involves replenishing production workstations utilizing radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.
The individual will assist the quality assurance team in obtaining product samples and may conduct I-button studies as necessary. Proficiency in operating the SAP inventory management system is essential, along with the completion of relevant paperwork. Duties will be assigned by the group leader, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety guidelines is critical.
There may be opportunities to provide technical training to other associates, participate in safety training programs, and partake in regularly scheduled 6S audits.
Maintain safe and orderly work areas in accordance with GMP and safety guidelines. Operate power industrial vehicles for material control and storage. Receive inbound materials via bulk tankers and inspect incoming product quality. Conduct cycle counts and record inventories accurately across freezer/cooler and warehouse locations. Replenish production workstations using RFID technology. Assist the quality assurance team with product sampling and may perform I-button studies as required.
Use SAP for inventory management and complete related paperwork as needed.
- Proficient in basic English communication skills.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs and work in temperature ranges from 45 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Willing to stand for extended periods exceeding three hours.
- Comfortable with moderate physical activity, including frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Experience working in temperature-controlled environments, with the capability to operate in conditions ranging from
-30 to 176 degrees Fahrenheit and at heights up to 35 feet for pallet re-stacking. - Competent in handling material handling equipment such as high-lifts, forklifts, pallet jacks, PC terminals, pallet labelers, shrink wrappers, dock plates, freezer doors, battery chargers, bailers, and scrubbers.
