ABOUT Aviation Electronics, Electrical, and Computer Systems Technicians (AV) work on some of the most advanced aircraft systems in the world. They maintain, diagnose, and repair complex electrical and electronic equipment, supporting critical functions such as radar, communications, navigation, and weapons. AV Sailors may also volunteer to serve as Naval Air crewmen, operating radar and weapons systems during flight operations.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair advanced aircraft systems including digital computers, fiber optics, radar, infrared detection, and laser electronics.
- Maintain aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems.
- Test and calibrate instruments and automatic flight control systems.
- Perform micro‑miniature circuit card repairs.
- Install upgrades and modifications to aircraft electronic systems.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
AV technicians serve in aviation environments around the world. Work may take place in hangars, aboard aircraft carriers, in electronics labs, or outdoors on flight lines. You'll work closely with other aviation professionals and often take on responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Training & AdvancementClass "A" Technical School - Pensacola, FL (18-26 weeks) Covers aviation fundamentals, electrical systems, electronics theory, and hands‑on technical training. After completing school, Sailors are assigned to the AE or AT rating and may serve at naval air stations, aviation squadrons, or aboard carriers. Advanced technical schools are available for specific aircraft and mission systems.

Job Summary A growing manufacturing company in Kenilworth, NJ is hiring Mechanical Assemblers to build and assemble custom conveyor belt systems used in industrial and distribution environments. This is a great opportunity for hands‑on individuals who enjoy tinkering, building, and working with tools. Key Responsibilities- Assemble conveyor belt systems and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
- Read and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Perform mechanical fitting, bolting, and alignment of parts.
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments of assembled systems.
- Identify and report defects or missing components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Support fabrication and shop operations as needed.
- Entry‑level to mid‑level experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or construction.
- Strong mechanical aptitude — experience tinkering, building, repairing, or working with tools.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools.
- Ability to read tape measures and follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
