Sanitation Supervisor

Location: Deerfield

Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to join their team. As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting sanitation operations and food safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Develop and monitor comprehensive cleaning routines for daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation activities across all plant areas.
• Implement and oversee sanitation procedures and audits to ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory laws.
• Manage schedules supporting CIP (Clean-In-Place) processes and ensure timely completion of sanitation tasks.
• Supervise sanitation team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sanitation activities, inspections, and work orders, and participate in internal and external audits.

What's Needed?

• Associate's degree in food science or a related discipline; HACCP certification highly preferred.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience in sanitation within the food or beverage industry.
• Proficiency in cleaning food contact surfaces, including CIP/COP systems.
• Ability to develop SSOPs and sanitation procedures, and effectively train team members.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
