About the Role

Production Lead to join our team at the Swedesboro, NJ bakery. Coordinate and guide production and packing teams to ensure safe, efficient operations while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and reporting requirements.

Shift & Schedule

2nd Shift, rotating shifts as required by the business. Weekend availability required.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $25.00 - $26.25.

Core Accountabilities
  • Coordinate and direct production and packing team activities to meet daily production schedules.
  • Perform operator duties while providing break and lunch coverage as needed.
  • Train, cross‑train, and support team members in equipment operation and setup.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production reporting, downtime tracking, and SAP data entry.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Shipping & Receiving teams.
  • Maintain food safety, quality, legality, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
  • Provide supervisory coverage, performance feedback, and issue resolution in the Supervisor's absence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, assign, and coordinate team members.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment and processes.
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation and system data entry.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, extended hours, and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar production reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Experience training or cross‑training production employees.
  • Proven ability to improve efficiency and productivity in a team environment.
