Production Operator; Polyester

Position Responsibilities

• Poisess a good working knowledge of plant equipment in the assigned operating unit.
• Poisess a good understanding of the operation and processes in the assigned operating unit.
• Understand and follow all safety and operating procedures.
• Maintain daily logs and records as instructed.
• Responsible for maintaining the boiler log and managing the boiler operator schedule (optional through the black seal boiler certification).
• Understand basic chemistry for products made in assigned production area.
• Maintain plant cleanliness to COIMs housekeeping standards.
• Recognizes and documents "abnormal" operating conditions with proper response including immediate notification of supervision.
• Perform physical cycle counts Raw Materials Reading batch and operating instructions associated with the preparation of raw material.
• Unload bulk raw materials and intermediates from trucks to storage or packages.
• Proper operation of transfer controls, PLC systems, pneumatic, and electrical equipment for the offloading of raw materials.
• Sampling of incoming raw materials.
• Preparation of re-work and partials containers in ovens for upcoming batches.
• Charge Reactors.
• Possess good working knowledge of batch-calc including log page and recipe pages entries for tracking of raw material and packing procedures.
• Load raw material in the reactors through super-sacks, totes or drums material.
• Using the proper checklist to track raw material charging.
• Loading Re-work and partials package in the reactors and dissolvers.
• Finished Goods Reading batch and operating instructions associated with the preparation of the packaging of finished products.
• Loading of bulk trucks and railcars.
• Retaining sample for package or bulk loading.
• Perform moisture analysis on retains.
• Proper packaging and storage of finished goods for customer shipments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
