Recycling Yard Laborer​/Operator

Position Purpose

The purpose of the Recycling Yard Laborer is to provide labor and assist customers as needed.

• Perform basic daily maintenance of crushers, screeners, and grinders. Adjust belts, grease bearings, and tighten loose bolts.
• Inspect machines daily at the beginning and end of shift for broken or missing parts and damage.
• Assist equipment operators in cleaning of tracks.
• Pick garbage and wood from finished aggregate and soil products.
• Assist customers in locating specific dump areas in the facility.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Great customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations, act in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co‑workers.
• Ability to adhere to Voller policies and rule set forth; promote the Voller safety policy.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed and/or 6 days a week when required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• Basic heavy equipment operations skills a plus but not required.
• Ability to drive manual transmission a plus but not required.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
• Must be able to perform snow removal services including but not limited to shoveling, snow blowing, hand salting, etc.
